 JUJOSA, the manager of the regulated parking service in Castellón, and the local government have chosen Urbiotica's smart parking solution to optimise the management of its regulated areas and help improve the quality of life of its citizens.
600 spaces will be monitored by wireless sensors which will enable the real-time communication of the availability of spaces through 10 signalling panels and the Castellón mobility application. The solution will also be integrated in the Smart City Castellón platform, allowing more efficient management of its regulated parking areas.
The deployment of the project, which will be completed in the summer, aims to guide vehicles based on the actual availability of parking spaces in the city centre and therefore reduce the volume of vehicles on the road looking for parking and the pollution generated in consequence, benefiting local citizens.
Urbiotica is a Barcelona-based company specialised in the design and development of latest generation sensing systems which provide real-time information on what is happening in areas of mobility, waste management and environmental monitoring. It currently has projects installed in more than 30 cities. |
