Swedish myFC and mobile operator 3 Sweden have signed a distribution agreement - a strategic cooperation for myFCs new fuel cell charger with a premiere showing at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona the 2 – 5 of March.

During the autumn of 2014, the companies had collaborated in a beta test of the new charging concept with select 3 Sweden costumers.

The new charger, JAQ, is considerably smaller and lighter than the previous models and due to its ease of use and attractive price is better suited for mass market. JAQ involves an environmentally friendly and innovative means to charge up using a slim single use card inserted into the charger. There is no need to pre-charge or recharge using the power outlet.

The charger will be launched in 3’s product range during Q4 2015.

“We are a leading edge carrier so it is fun and at the same time very natural to be the first operator in the world which takes in and sells myFC’s new charger JAQ,” says Ville Lejon-Avrin, Product Manager Accessories of 3 Sweden.

“The beta test results turned out fantastically and I am very happy that an innovative Swedish carrier will be one of our very first partners in the world. The need for on-the-go charging is an increasing problem with the increased use and interest in new mobile technology, so it is important for us to know that we have found a solution to the users’ problem,” says Björn Westerholm, CEO of myFC.
