ICT.Moscow, a portal dedicated to Moscow-based tech solutions, has updated the database of Russian AI practices in English. 120 new cases of using AI by domestic developers have been added to the website on the basis of open source information has appeared since September 2020. Currently, the most popular branch of technology implementation in Russia is medicine.

In total, 401 Russian cases of technology application in various fields are available in the knowledge base. The AI knowledge base update is available at https://ict.moscow/en/projects/ai/.

“This project was created for the centralized collection of the practices of Moscow AI vendors. Now, it is not merely a knowledge base, but a full-fledged portal-navigator on the capabilities of domestic AI, which will help to expand interaction with foreign partners and software developers as well analysts to study data in the industry", said the Minister of the Moscow Government and Head of the Moscow Department of Information Technologies Eduard Lysenko.

The development of AI is most noticeable in the MedTech segment, which includes 25 new practices (53 in total), selected in the database. In particular, in October 2020, a medical decision support system based on the UMIAS began operating in Moscow. Another example worth mentioning is a service for remote analysis of X-ray examinations, which allows Russian regions to use medical AI algorithms implemented in Moscow clinics.

Among other industries actively implementing AI practices, the following stand out: retail and e-commerce (18 new cases), logistics and transport (8 new cases). In the transport segment, one of the most notable scenarios for using AI was the introduction of the FacePay biometric fare payment system in the Moscow metro.

With the current update of the knowledge base, two new information blocks have also become available to users: industry research and a showcase of solutions from Moscow developers, which includes more than 170 products.

The English-language knowledge base of Russian artificial intelligence practices was launched at ICT.Moscow in cooperation with the Moscow Department of Information Technologies in May 2020. Data for the project is collected by ICT.Moscow analysts from open sources with the direct participation of representatives of Russian companies developing AI solutions. In addition, the knowledge base comprises industry analytics of the Russian AI market and datasets for developers.

In April 2021, ICT.Moscow, together with the Moscow Government, launched the Smart City Moscow section for the international community. For the first time in English, it collected up-to-date information on innovative urban projects in Moscow with indication of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), analytics, news and data for global rankings compilers: https://ict.moscow/en/projects/smartcitymoscow/.
